Aquasonic Formalin Malachite Solution 100ml is a specialised aquarium treatment designed to help control white spot disease and similar external parasites in fish. White spot is a common parasite that can enter your aquarium on new fish, plants, or equipment, and appears as small, pin‑head‑sized white spots on the fish’s body and fins. Without quick treatment, it can lead to serious stress and fatalities.

What Aquasonic Formalin Malachite Solution 100ml Is Used For
- Assists in the treatment of white spot disease (Ich) in aquarium fish
- Helps manage external parasites that present as small white spots on body and fins
- Suitable for use when white spot has been introduced via new fish, plants, or other additions
Directions & Important Use Notes
From the product details:
- Not to be used on fish intended for human consumption
- Ensure the aquarium is well aerated for the entire treatment period
- Remove activated carbon from the filtration system while treating, as it will strip the medication from the water
- This product contains a dye, which can stain if spilled—handle with care
Always follow label directions and observe fish closely during treatment.
Dosage Rates
Standard dose:
- Use 5mL of Aquasonic Formalin Malachite Solution per 20 litres of aquarium water
Sensitive species:
- For tetras, baby fish and scaleless fish (such as loaches), use a reduced dose of 5mL per 40 litres of aquarium water
Additional notes:
- Do not overdose
- Repeat the treatment after 3 days if necessary
- Not suitable for reef systems—harmful to corals
Storage & Disposal
- Store below 30°C (room temperature)
- Replace the lid tightly after each use
- Dispose of the empty container by wrapping in paper and placing it in household garbage
Safety Instructions
- Will irritate eyes and may irritate skin
- Avoid contact with eyes and skin
- If product contacts skin: wash immediately with soap and water
- If product gets in eyes: rinse immediately with plenty of water
- Wash hands thoroughly after use
- Avoid breathing vapour

- If swallowed: do not induce vomiting; give a glass of water and seek medical advice
- If on skin: remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly
- If inhaled: move to fresh air; apply artificial respiration if not breathing
- If in eyes: hold eyelids open, flush with water for at least 15 minutes, and seek medical attention
