Assorted Mixed Shrimp (coloured & uncoloured) are a random mix of coloured and uncoloured shrimp, ideal for hobbyists who want an active, natural‑looking shrimp colony without focusing on specific grades or patterns.
This assorted mixed shrimp pack may include a variety of colours (such as reds, oranges, yellows or others) alongside wild‑type or lower‑grade shrimp, depending on availability. They are excellent algae grazers and scavengers, helping to keep the aquarium clean while adding constant movement and interest.
Please note: As per the product note, we do not send shrimps to WA, TAS or NT.

Basic Care for Mixed Neocaridina Shrimp
-
Tank size:
A small group of Assorted Mixed Shrimp (coloured & uncoloured) can be kept in nano tanks from around 20L+, with larger volumes always offering more stability.
-
Water parameters (general guide):
- Temperature: around 20–26°C
- pH: roughly 6.5–7.8
- Prefer stable, clean water with low ammonia and nitrite and low to moderate nitrate
-
Filtration and maintenance:
Gentle filtration with a sponge filter or pre‑filter guard is recommended to protect baby shrimp. Regular small water changes and careful acclimation are important for long‑term success.
-
Diet:
These mixed neocaridina shrimp will graze on biofilm and algae, but should also be offered dedicated shrimp foods, algae wafers and occasional blanched vegetables for balanced nutrition.
Tank Mates and Breeding
Assorted Mixed Shrimp (coloured & uncoloured) are peaceful and best kept with small, non‑aggressive fish or in shrimp‑only tanks. Many fish will eat baby shrimp, so if you want a strong breeding colony, choose tank mates carefully and provide plenty of moss and hiding places.
Because this is a mixed group, offspring will also be mixed, with colours and patterns blending over time. This is ideal if you enjoy a natural, varied shrimp colony rather than a single, fixed colour line.
